Boring Journal is operated by Milton Alexander Prastitis, Cyprus. You can contact us at as.prastitis@gmail.com.

Boring Journal is for adults aged 18 or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18.

You are responsible for:

• providing accurate account information
• keeping your login details secure
• activity on your account, where it is reasonably within your control

Boring Journal is a journaling and reflective-practice service with optional AI-assisted features and optional collaboration with a Professional. Current features include:

• journal entries and drafts
• Daily Mirror
• Goals
• Chapters
• connections with Professionals
• sharing selected completed entries
• Insights & Patterns
• Session Preparation

Features may change as the product develops.

Boring Journal itself does not provide psychotherapy, psychological or medical diagnosis, medical or psychiatric treatment, or emergency or crisis services.

AI-generated material is meant to help you reflect on and organise what you write. It is not a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation.

Boring Journal must not be relied on in an emergency. If you or someone else needs urgent help, please contact your local emergency or healthcare services.

Some features use artificial intelligence. AI output can misunderstand context, be incomplete, contain errors or miss something important.

AI output must not be treated as a definitive statement about anyone’s diagnosis, mental health, personality, motives, intentions or future behaviour. Professional users remain responsible for their own judgement and decisions.

You keep ownership of the content you write in Boring Journal. We do not claim ownership of your journal.

You give Boring Journal permission to store, process and transmit your content only as reasonably needed to operate and secure the service and to provide the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for what you choose to enter.

Connecting with a Professional does not share your whole journal. You choose which eligible completed entries to share. Drafts are never shared.

Sharing an entry allows the connected Professional to read it and allows Professional AI features, such as Insights & Patterns and Session Preparation, to process it.

You can unshare an entry or end the connection at any time. The Professional then loses access to that material through Boring Journal, and affected Professional AI material is invalidated.

Professional accounts are intended for people using Boring Journal in a professional helping role.

During the current beta, Boring Journal does not verify qualifications, professional registration, licences or credentials. A Professional account is not an endorsement, certification or verification by Boring Journal, and Boring Journal does not supervise or regulate Professionals.

Professional users are responsible for:

• complying with the laws that apply to their work
• meeting their professional and ethical obligations
• obtaining any consent required in their own professional relationships
• protecting the information they receive
• using AI-assisted material as support, not as a replacement for their judgement
• keeping any independent professional records their profession requires

Professional features include a Private Note, Follow up, Insights & Patterns and Session Preparation. Private Notes are not visible to the client through Boring Journal. Professionals must use these features responsibly and only for legitimate professional purposes.

You must not:

• try to access another user’s data
• try to bypass authorisation or security controls
• impersonate another person
• use invitations deceptively
• interfere with the operation or security of the service
• probe or exploit protected systems without permission
• use Boring Journal for unlawful purposes, or in a way that violates the law or someone else’s rights

You can permanently delete your account from Settings. Deletion cannot be undone.

Deleting an Individual account removes that account and its associated Boring Journal data. Deleting a Professional account removes the Professional account and Professional-side relationship data, but does not delete clients’ own accounts or journal content.

Copies held in external infrastructure, backups or provider logs may take additional time to expire. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Boring Journal is currently in beta. Features may change, be improved, contain errors or occasionally be unavailable.

Professional access may currently be provided free during the beta. Free beta access does not automatically become a paid subscription, and you will not be charged just because the beta ends.

Boring Journal may introduce paid subscriptions. Before you are charged, the price, billing period, renewal terms and any free trial or promotional period will be shown to you, and you will need to take an explicit action to subscribe.

Current or planned prices shown within Boring Journal may change before a paid subscription is purchased.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or that every beta feature will remain available. Maintenance and third-party infrastructure may affect availability.

Boring Journal relies on third-party infrastructure and providers for hosting, authentication, database services and AI processing. Using Boring Journal therefore involves those services, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You keep ownership of your journal content. The Boring Journal name, design, software, interface, branding and other product materials are owned by or licensed to the operator. You receive a limited right to use the service in line with these Terms.

Boring Journal may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, secure the service, investigate abuse, comply with legal requirements or address serious breaches of these Terms.

You may stop using Boring Journal and delete your account at any time.

To the extent permitted by applicable law:

• Boring Journal does not guarantee that AI output is accurate or complete
• AI output should not be relied on as a substitute for professional or medical judgement
• Boring Journal is not responsible for independent actions taken by Professional users outside Boring Journal
• temporary service interruptions may occur

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, subject to any mandatory consumer rights and protections that apply to you.

These Terms may be updated as the product changes, when paid plans launch, or when legal requirements change. Material changes may be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
